Public Art at the Elbra M. Wedgeworth Building

Sabin Aell’s public art installation at the Elbra M. Wedgeworth Building coming this summer!

Please join the Denver Arts & Venues Public Art Program as we celebrate two new artworks at the Elbra M. Wedgeworth Municipal Office Building.

“No Shoe Too Big” depicts the ethnic diversity of the Five Points neighborhood. The mural is acrylic paint applied on polytab material, which is a cloth-like material adhered directly to the masonry brick surface of the building. This material has been used in outdoor murals in Philadelphia and will be the first mural of its kind in Denver. Funds for this new mural were privately raised.

“Beyond the Sky of Memories” is slated for installation later this summer. The artwork will reflect the Five Points neighborhood with imagery of its history and present day. The suspended sculpture is 8 feet by 4 feet and will be installed in the two-story atrium, displaying five layers of Plexiglas cascading into the space.
