A moment of breathtaking hopelessness is at the same time a moment of Perfect Beauty. This is because an old idea didn’t work out and shut itself down. A non-working concept dies and dissolves – but instantly new possibilities and solutions are created. This micro-moment contains the whole essence of being and what pushes us forward, pure creativity, as a gift. For free. We just have to reach for it. It reveals Perfect Beauty and contains the spell on which the entire creation is built.I tried to capture the people in a pose which they considered to be an expression of disappointment or hopelessness. This work is full of symbolism. The hands in which each person stands are their own. They are the representation of their individual power to create whatever they like. The hands are the vessel of their being. The flowers are icons for the beauty of life. The radiant star-like backgrounds are photographs of glowing tail lights and represent the spirit, the source of the universe which flows through all of us. This series you can also see as an allegory to beauty and creation. This photographic collage was put together in a very time intensive process of various shoots and settings.
