Everyone can compose his life like a song. My song is airy, full of everything and nothing – logical conclusions and random settlements fade in and out while I am floating and dreaming the following chorus.
When you are at a place where you can be free of all the things you are overly attached to you have gained a freedom which has given you exactly what you thought the other things would deliver but didn’t.
By giving up detachment we surrender ourselves to the wisdom of uncertainty. In the wisdom of uncertainty lies the freedom. In the willingness to step into the unknown we land in the field of all possibilities and open up to the creative mind.
With detachment I don’t mean to give up intention and desire rather then the attachment to the outcome. Attachment is based on restrictions, fear and insecurity. Security is an illusion. It reflects attachment to the past which is the old, the known. On the other hand detachment is the rich ground of pure creativity and frees your mind. We can float in endless open space with nothing weighing us down. The Buoyancy of Nothing is how I describe it. It is the gateway to adventure, excitement and pleasure.
This work in resin suggests to free your thoughts, chime in and add your melody. Don’t think, don’t hesitate, don’t hold back – empty your mind – breathe in and exhale gently. Feel your boundaries expanding with ease.
I selected abstract photography to add color but to avoid concrete visual associations to things or objects. Up to fifteen layers of resin encase my journey through soft unfolding romances.
